1984 Lamborghini Jalpa

The Jalpa was a further development of the Targa version of the Urraco, which had initially been marketed as a Silhouette. The well-known V8 was increased to 3. 5 liters displacement for the Jalpa and received a timing chain instead of the (vulnerable) toothed belt. The increase in displacement increased power and, more importantly, torque. The engine continued to use 4 Weber twin-choke carburettors.

The car is well documented and in beautiful cosmetical and mechanical condition.

The body is free of rust and leather, upholstery and carpets in the interior are original and show little signs of wear due to its low mileage.

First delivered in Italy on 29/ 11/ 1983 (an early EU-spec Series 2 model), exported to the USA in 1987 and brought back to Europe in 1990 by a Lamborghini enthusiast family, where it remained until recently. The car's history is well documented.

Among other things, an engine-out major service was carried out recently and the rear spring struts were overhauled and fitted with new shock absorbers. The clutch master and slave cylinders have been renewed, as have the master brake cylinder and the tyres. Also, the head gaskets were replaced.

Visually, the body was brought closer to its big brother Countach which can be seen in various styling clues, such as the shape of the wheel arches or that of the engine cover.

Due to the very small number of vehicles made, even by Lamborghini standards, the Jalpa is an interesting collector's item and at the same time one of the few opportunities to drive a classic Lamborghini with the top down.
