DALI Callisto 6 C Floorstanding Speakers Pair

Dali Callisto 6 C is part of Dali's new wireless ecosystem that empowers you to easily access all your Hi-Res music directly from your smart device. Be it via Bluetooth (AAC/AptX HD) or the optional BluOS app. The Callisto 6 C speakers present a fine detailed soundstage, even with large spaces they will add an extra degree of width and depth. The speakers comprise two woofers (6.5") and the large internal volume of the enclosure means the bass representation is deep, solid and can fill a room.

Wireless Hi-Fi
The Callisto 6 C have managed to combine the beauty in sound and aesthetic of  traditional Hi-Fi with the convenience of wireless audio. Everything from the Callisto 6 C drivers to the amplifier is developed in-house so each component is matched perfectly. The woofers are designed to be extremly linear much more than traditional passive speakers. By completly controlling the signal path, Dali have created a speaker that performs better than any speaker amplifier combinations available at this price point.

Dali Sound Hub
Connecting the Callisto 6 C is very easy and convenient, they can be connected wirelessly to their Sound Hub with a very stable digital connection, either 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz depending on the quality of your connection. With lag of less than 25ms, the synchrony between video and audio is well within conventional acceptable limits.

Touch Sensitive Volume
The Callisto is controlled via the touch sensitive panel on top of the cabinet, where you can adjust the volume. Plus, with the Bluetooth remote or the Sound Hub volume you can adjust sound levels as you wish.

SMC Technology
The Callisto woofers are constructed from an exclusive Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) at the pole. By using the SMC material means the woofers are very fast to respond, they do not suffer loss and show a significant reduction in distortion from mechanical loss.

Wood Fibre Cones
Callisto 6 C employs two woofers (6½") which have been designed to be highly linear and extremely low loss. Dali endevour to control the audio signal path from source signal to speaker driver, so they are able to deliver an audio performance beyond what you would expect from conventional speakers. All of the elements of the woofer have been optimised to work in perfectly with the amplifier. Pairing the drivers with the amplifier perfectly results in a soundstage rich in detail, with temporal-coherence and highly immersive.

The result is accurate music representation, exactly as intended. Their is an extra linearity from the voice-coil and from the spider configuration, which ensdures mechanical distortion is reduced and the amplifier is not stretched, consequently the speakers arte highly detailed with an immersive soundstage.

Hybrid Tweeter
Dali trademark hybrid tweeter module was optimised specifically for the Callisto 6 C. Dali have designed a hybrid tweeter by combining a ribbon to a dome tweeter which is capable of highly accurate high frequency representation and dispersion the components that surpasses all other tweeter technologies. The magnet have been used to maximise flux saturation right at the voice coil. By combining their hybrid tweeters with an extra-thin magnetic cooling fluid the speaker has great control, superior power handling and greatly limits distortion.

The ribbon tweeter is a magneto-static style of tweeter. The tweeter is comprised of four conductive bands to create an active diaphragm, controlled by a strong magnetic field. Ribbon tweeters are highly capable performers with a wide angle of dispersion and by combining them with a rigid soft dome, results in a tweeter that can go as low as 2000Hz and continues performing above the audible range at 30 KHz. The extreme tweeter response bandwidth combined with their super wide dispersion, defines Dali.

Class D Amplifier
The quality of an active is a function of the sum of its parts. One very important part that affects sound qulaity is the amplifier. A good quality amplifier consists of three equally important components, that must be designed to work in harmony: the power amplifier, the power supply, with signal processing. Delivering the signal processing and power to the amplifier circuits must precisely follow the amplifiers capacity.

The Callisto 6 C uses a Class D amplifier, based on their own exclusive technology, it has global feedback with a self-oscillating design, chosen for audio capability. The amplifier is capable of delivering a huge 250 Watts, for 5 seconds, so you will have ample power for complex music or cinematic prowess.

Cabinet Construction
The Callisto 6 C cabinets are precision CNC cut from MDF at Dali's woodworking workshops in Denmark. Once constructed the cabinets are carefully veneered to to ensure high quality, and rigidity. Constructed from solid MDF (25mm), which is very rigid with additional internal bracing for extra reinforcement. The internal bracing contributes to the rigidity and density of the cabinets, and subsequently eliminates cabinet resonance.

Dali have taken great care not to unduly reduce the internal volume of the cabinet. Plus, keeping construction in-house ensures Dali keep control of the production process and ensures the quality of the final speakers, with the Callisto Dali have achieved performance levels and the final finish that you would normally find in more expensive speakers.
