They are the flagship floorstanders in the Evo range of speakers. Featuring 6.5" Woven Kevlar Bass Driver,  2" Soft Dome mid, and 55x80mm AMT HF driver system.

Working to evolve the sound quality, Wharfedale have based the Evo series off concepts from their popular Elysian speakers to promise high-end sound but with a smaller price tag.

AMT Tweeter

Evo 4.4 incorporate the same technology as Wharfedale's flagship Elysian speakers such as the Air Motion transformer (AMT) tweeter, a high-frequency driver that provides minimal distortion and maximum accuracy by moving the air in a different way then a conventional dome.
